We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. You can think of anything you want, just make sure you still respect the theme. You can choose to illustrate dreams, nightmares or even both of them. Anything you want! Wolves, especially, seem to be hogging the attention to themselves. But saying that is making me a hypocrite, since I haven't quite mastered my equines and basically stick to canines. Looks like I have something to work on during my free time. x)
I agree, it's almost as though people have forgotten that other species of animals exist besides the generic dogs, cats, horses, etc.
Or at least, that's the way it seems to me. n_n;

But there's probably a reason they're so popular. I also love painting wolves, and cats for that matter
I actually got into the habit of drawing mainly canines and felines since before I joined dA; somehow, it just ended up that way.
I've actually been thinking about going into drawing some realism and landscapes more often, just for practice. Also because landscapes are the one other thing that I really enjoy drawing. x)
